Authentik8’s AI Vehicle Photos check will analyse the photo and assess if the image is a photo of a physical photo or a photo of an image on a screen. This check will highlight a warning if it detects if the image isn’t the original.

Number Plate

Request a photo of the vehicle Number Plate that can be used to search various external data sources for verification information.

Request photos of the vehicle from different perspectives:

• External: front, back, passenger side, and driver side.

• Internal: odometer, front seats, back seats and boot

System Verifications	Authentik8’s AI Vehicle Photos check will analyse the photo and assess if the image is a photo of a physical photo or a photo of an image on a screen. The advanced AI-powered check also evaluates critical factors such as image quality, lighting, framing, and cropping for photos of the vehicle’s front, back, left, and right sides. This check will highlight a warning if it detects the image isn’t the original or if there are any quality, lighting or framing issues.

NEVDIS

Displayed within the Authentik8 management portal, within an inspection, on the Vehicle tab under Vehicle Checks.

Check	Alert
VIN and Registration Checking NEVDIS, the service checks if the VIN and Number Plate details match what was provided in the Vehicle section by the Seller.	VIN/Number Plate details provided by the seller don’t match NEVDIS - Both sets of values are displayed.
Registration Status Checking the registration status on NEVDIS	At the time of submission, the vehicle registration was expired.
Stolen check Checking NEVDIS, the service may return stolen reports that will be presented in the portal	Where NEVDIS returns one or more stolen reports for the vehicle
Written-off check Checking NEVDIS, the service may return write-off reports that will be presented in the portal	Where NEVDIS returns one or more written-off reports for the vehicle

PPSR

Displayed within the admin portal, within an inspection, on the Vehicle tab under Vehicle Checks.

Where PPSR returns a financial encumbrance registration, there is the option to view ‘Details’.  Below the details there is also the options to download the full PPSR Report as a PDF.

Compliance

Displayed within the admin portal, within an inspection, on the Vehicle tab under Vehicle Checks.

Check	Not Found
Compliance check Checking RAVS, the service may return compliance data, or if not found, will update the status of that check as ‘Not found’	Where compliance details cannot be retrieved from the government registry.
